I ordered the Ethics exam study material some time last week… Well, I started ordering about a week and half ago and I was shocked to see that ordering the material, plus shipping and handling, plus tax was over $150+. So, I decided not to complete my order and leave the item in the cart and mull over it. I knew nothing would change, but I just wanted some time off. I had looked into joining one of the “society” memberships to get a discount, but it was just going to cost more, initially, membership plus the order. Anyway, last weekend, I decided to complete the order. I think I decided to do it around 1am or some weird time like that. I didn’t check the order status until today because I thought I had given the AICPA about a week to ship and get the product delivered. I log into my account at the AICPA website [cpa2biz.com] and there is a tracking number. This takes me to the FedEx website and I learn that the shipment was delivered on Thursday, December 11th, at 10:52pm. I did not get anything! No signature required, they said, so it was “left at front door”. Last night I had pulled something into the house from the front door, and there was no shipment from the AICPA! So, I called FedEx and they had me verify my address. The lady then said that the item had been delivered at xx01 street name not xx10 street name. I need to call the AICPA and have them request that the order be re-delivered because this will cost money. I said thanks and got off the phone. So, who transposed the street address? I thought that I may have done it because I ordered a little bit late; I may have been tired. I didn’t expect the AICPA to retype my address after I had entered my address and ordered online! Anyway, I log back in to verify the address, and the address is correct. How could it be that I keyed in the correct address and the AICPA shipped to the wrong address? I decided to take a walk on the other side of the street to see if I could see the house at xx01, there is no such house! So, the AICPA has my address wrong, and FedEx delivers to a non-existent house? So, I am going to call FedEx. I already tried calling cpa2biz and nobody picked up and I ended up filling out a customer service incident report form. A few minutes ago, while writing this, I decided to check my email to see what address the AICPA had in their “Primary Mailing Address updated” email. It is the wrong address! So, I have replied to that email to tell them that they have transposed some numbers in the street address, and they need to look at my account to get the correct one. In addition, I told them that I thought the confirmation emails were automated such that whatever I entered online would just be copied and pasted in the email of changes etc.
Now I am wondering if the exam scores I got are mine. I am just saying
If people cannot confirm a correct address, the simplest thing to automate…
I was hoping to be done with the Ethics exam by the time I receive my REG score, but it doesn’t look like that is going to happen. May be I will ask them for a refund of the shipping and handling charges because they mishandled and mis-shipped this order, and the cost for that, to the customer, should be $0 [or negative - that is, compensate the customer for the inconvenience of your incompetence. Just a thought.]
Good luck waiting for your scores. In another week or so, we will know how we did!
Thanks for reading my little rant! I hope you found that helpful.
